1. Purpose of This Policy
This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Stone Paradigm Export (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles the packing, dispatch and delivery of our quartz, marble, onyx, terrazzo and other stone products from our base in Kishangarh, Rajasthan to your project site.
Because stone is heavy, fragile and shipped in large crates, shipping conditions for our products are different from typical parcel deliveries. This policy is designed to bring transparency and set clear expectations for all customers.
2. Service Coverage & Eligibility
At present, we primarily supply and ship within India. Our major service coverage includes:
- Metro cities (e.g. Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad)
- Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and towns where heavy truck access is available
- Project sites, warehouses or fabrication units with suitable unloading arrangements
International export enquiries may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are governed by separate commercial and shipping terms, which will be shared individually in writing.
3. Order Processing & Handling Time
Once your order is confirmed (material selection, quantities, commercial terms and advance payment received), we begin processing as follows:
- Slab blocking: Selected lots / bundles are reserved in your name.
- Cutting & processing: Where applicable, slabs are cut, polished, finished or customised as agreed (thickness, finish, edge details, etc.).
- Quality checks: Slabs are checked for cracks, major defects and thickness tolerance. Photos and videos can be shared on request before packing.
- Packing: Slabs are packed in wooden crates / A-frames with suitable supports, spacers and protective materials for road transport.
Typical processing and handling time varies based on stone type, quantity, customisation level and current workload. Indicative timelines, if shared in your quotation, are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates.
4. Shipping Charges
Stone is transported in heavy trucks (e.g. 17-ft, 19-ft, 22-ft, 32-ft, etc.) or containerised vehicles. Shipping charges are calculated based on:
- Origin: Kishangarh, Rajasthan
- Destination city / pin code
- Approximate weight and volume of crates / bundles
- Truck type and load sharing (dedicated truck vs part load, where feasible)
Unless explicitly specified as “inclusive”, transport charges are additional to material cost. In your quotation or pro-forma invoice, transport may be:
- Estimated as a separate line item (to be finalised at booking), or
- Quoted as a combined “material + transport” price for specific routes.
Any tolls, entry charges, octroi or local levies applicable at the destination are typically borne by the buyer unless agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Shipping Methods & Logistics Partners
We usually ship via reputed third-party transporters experienced in handling stone crates and heavy material. Depending on location and load, shipping may be:
- Dedicated full-truck load (FTL)
- Part load / shared truck for smaller consignments (where feasible)
- In special cases, through your nominated transporter or logistics partner
While we assist in arranging transportation, the transporter is an independent service provider. Their specific terms and liability conditions may also apply.
6. Dispatch & Delivery Timelines
Once processing and packing are complete and payments are cleared as per terms, we schedule dispatch. Indicative truck transit times (after dispatch) may be:
- Within Rajasthan & neighbouring states: approx. 1–4 working days
- Other major Indian cities: approx. 3–9 working days
These are estimates only and can vary based on:
- Transporter routing and schedules
- Traffic conditions, road work, weather or local restrictions
- Festivals, strikes, public holidays or unforeseen events
We will inform you when the truck is loaded and share available tracking details or driver contact information to help coordinate delivery and unloading.
7. Transfer of Risk & Ownership
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, risk in the goods generally passes to you once:
- The material is loaded onto the transporter’s vehicle at our facility, or
- The material leaves our warehouse premises for delivery to your site.
From that point, any damage, delay or loss during transit is primarily the responsibility of the transporter and/or the buyer, subject to their respective terms and applicable law.
If transit insurance is desired, it should be discussed and arranged in advance. Insurance may be arranged by you directly or through the transporter, based on mutual understanding.
8. Unloading, Site Access & Handling at Destination
Unloading and safe handling of stone at the destination are the buyer’s responsibility, unless specifically agreed otherwise. You should ensure:
- Suitable labour, lifting equipment and tools are available at the delivery time.
- Truck access is possible up to a reasonable distance from the site / storage area.
- There is adequate space for unloading and temporary storage of crates.
Transport drivers are not typically responsible for unloading or moving material within your site. Any support they provide is informal and at your own risk.
9. Inspection on Delivery & Reporting of Issues
We take care to pack and load material properly. However, due to the nature of stone and road transport, damage may occasionally occur. To protect your interests:
- Inspect the condition of crates at the time of delivery and unloading. Note any visible breakage or severe damage on the transporter’s receipt or POD (proof of delivery).
- Open crates carefully and check slabs for major breakage or mismatch with the agreed lot as early as possible.
- Report any major issues to us in writing (WhatsApp / email) with clear photos, videos and details within 48 hours of delivery.
We will review the case and coordinate a practical solution where appropriate (for example, replacement of certain slabs, partial credit or other arrangement), depending on the nature and extent of the issue and the agreed commercial terms.
10. Delays Beyond Our Control
While we strive to honour indicative timelines, certain delays may occur due to factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Transport strikes, vehicle breakdowns or driver issues
- Heavy traffic, road blocks, weather disruptions or natural calamities
- Government restrictions, local authority checks or changes in regulations
- Pandemics, lockdowns or other force majeure events
In such situations, we will update you as soon as we are informed by transporters. However, we cannot be held liable for consequential losses arising solely from delay in delivery.
11. Partial Deliveries & Multiple Shipments
For large or multi-phase projects, your order may be supplied in multiple shipments based on site requirements, production capacity and storage considerations. In such cases:
- Each shipment will be accompanied by its own documentation and transport details.
- Billing may be done per shipment or in stages, as agreed in your commercial terms.
- We will endeavour to maintain shade and pattern consistency across shipments, but natural variation in stone cannot be fully eliminated.
12. Delivery Address, Changes & Failed Delivery
It is your responsibility to provide the correct and complete delivery address, including:
- Project / building name
- Street address, area and city
- Landmark and Google Maps location (where helpful)
- Contact person’s name and mobile number at site
Any change in delivery address after dispatch may not be possible or may attract additional charges and delays, depending on the transporter’s policies and route.
If delivery fails due to incomplete address, lack of access, non-availability of contact person or refusal to accept goods, you may be liable for:
- Re-delivery charges or return freight
- Storage / demurrage charges at transporter’s yard
- Any additional handling or administrative costs incurred
13. Shipment Tracking & Updates
For most shipments, we will share one or more of the following, depending on transporter systems:
- Truck number and driver contact details
- LR (Lorry Receipt) / consignment note or tracking number
- Link to a tracking portal or app (if provided by the transporter)
You can use these details to coordinate directly with the driver / transporter for real-time updates on arrival and unloading arrangements, while we remain available for support.
14. International Shipping (On Request)
For overseas enquiries, shipping terms (Incoterms), packing standards, documentation and insurance requirements may be significantly different. International shipments, if accepted, will be handled under separate written agreements or pro-forma invoices specifying:
- Port of loading and port of discharge
- Incoterms (e.g. FOB, CIF, etc.) and responsibility for freight & insurance
- Customs documentation, export licenses and certifications (if required)
- Transit times and risk transfer points
This Shipping & Delivery Policy is primarily intended for domestic Indian deliveries.
15. Cash on Delivery (COD) & Online Payments
Due to the high value and weight of stone materials, we do not offer Cash on Delivery (COD). All orders must follow the agreed advance and balance payment terms as mentioned in your quotation / invoice.
If we offer any online or digital payment links, they will be shared from official, verified channels and clearly associated with Stone Paradigm Export. Please verify details carefully before making payments and contact us immediately if anything appears suspicious.
16. Changes to This Shipping & Delivery Policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in logistics partners, legal requirements, or business practices related to shipping and delivery.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will indicate the latest revision. We encourage you to review this page before finalising orders, especially for new projects.
